Job summary

Holt Executive is seeking a Senior Algorithms Engineer to join its innovative engineering team in the UK, focusing on advanced machine learning and computer vision solutions for real-world applications.

You will take ownership of technically challenging projects across AI, computer vision, image processing, and statistical modelling, mentoring peers and shaping future development with a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Proven experience developing ML or CV algorithms for production or near-production environments.
• Strong understanding of modern CV techniques including object detection, image classification, and DL architectures.
• Experience with image datasets and image processing to improve model performance.
• Strong Python scripting, with C++ for performance-critical tasks.
• Ability to solve complex problems via structured investigation and experimentation.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise ML and CV algorithms for real-world applications.
• Investigate complex technical challenges and design experiments to identify solutions.
• Analyse datasets, model performance, and system behaviour to improve algorithms.
• Support automated workflows for data processing, training, testing, and evaluation.
• Contribute to integration and deployment of algorithms within software systems.
• Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and promote best practices.
• Keep up to date with developments in AI, ML, and computer vision.
