Holt Recruitment is seeking a Senior Algorithms Engineer to join an innovative engineering team delivering machine learning and computer vision solutions. You will own technically challenging projects across AI, computer vision, image processing, and statistical modelling.

Role involves developing production-ready algorithms, mentoring teammates, and contributing to best practices, with hybrid work arrangements and the opportunity to influence future engineering directions.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, AI, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience developing ML or CV algorithms for production or near-production.
• Strong understanding of CV techniques including object detection and classification.
• Experience with image datasets and image processing to improve model performance.
• Strong Python programming skills; C++ for performance-critical parts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise ML and CV algorithms for real-world applications.
• Investigate and design experiments to identify effective solutions.
• Analyse datasets, model performance and system behaviour to improve capability.
• Support automated workflows for data processing, training, testing and evaluation.
• Contribute to integration and deployment of algorithms within software systems.
• Share knowledge, mentor colleagues and promote best practices.
