Job summary

SUEZ Air & Climate UK is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to lead end-to-end air quality, odour and emissions projects for industry and government clients. The role blends technical delivery with client engagement and on-site work, supported by a strong team and clear career development.

The position is full-time, hybrid across the UK with travel across the Midlands, North and South West. A UK driving licence and relevant degree are required, with 4+ years of experience in air quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years’ experience managing complex air quality projects, with emissions monitoring preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UK air quality policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring and sampling equipment.
• Experience in data processing, interpretation, and reporting of emissions and ambient air quality results.
• Proficiency in atmospheric dispersion modelling and impact assessment.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills; highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing air quality and odour projects, interpreting environmental data from industrial sites.
• Developing measurement strategies and RAMS with Operations Manager support.
• Liaising with clients, internal teams, site operators and consultants to ensure delivery.
• Processing and reporting emissions and ambient air quality data with validation.
• Carrying out atmospheric dispersion modelling and impact assessments.
• On-site surveys: calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting of monitoring equipment.
• Supporting odour control system design, ventilation assessments and exposure surveys.
• Travelling within the UK and Ireland; occasional international travel.
