Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join our Air Quality Measurements team. You will lead air quality monitoring, data management and QA/QC projects across the UK, delivering high-quality outputs for clients and stakeholders.

You will provide technical oversight of measurement programmes, support QA processes and interpret complex environmental data. Travel to client sites across the UK may be required as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in air quality consulting or related meteorology/air quality work.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Field-based monitoring and sampling experience (VOCs, dust, PM).

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of UK air quality monitoring and QA/QC projects.
• Provide technical expertise in measurements, monitoring technologies and data validation.
• Manage small to medium projects, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule and budget.
• Analyze complex datasets, identify trends and present findings to clients.
• Support development of innovative air quality assessment approaches.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver practical solutions.
• Contribute to proposals and new business opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across WSP teams.
