Job summary

bp is seeking Senior Software Engineers to design and deploy scalable AI-powered applications. You’ll work across the full lifecycle—from ideation and architecture to deployment—with a focus on reliable, production-grade systems and pragmatic use of AI capabilities.

You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-impact AI solutions at speed, while maintaining software quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven years of professional software engineering experience; ability to independently design and ship complex systems in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), Java, or similar languages; experience with microservices, APIs, and backend systems.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating machine learning models into production systems (LLMs via APIs, embeddings, RAG patterns).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade AI applications and services using modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability, cloud-native design).
• Define and implement foundational platforms and tools (conversational bots, AI-powered search, unstructured data processing) reusable across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to ensure end-to-end delivery and reliability of AI products.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and prioritize practical application and delivery.
