The University of East Anglia's School of Computing Sciences invites applications for a Senior Research Associate to develop cutting-edge AI methods for real-time prediction of bathing-water quality.

This full-time fixed-term post runs until 30 March 2028 and offers the chance to work on an interdisciplinary project with partners at Bangor University, University of Warwick, Norwich Medical School, Environmental and Computing Sciences at UEA.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate-level qualification or equivalent experience in CS/AI/ML/Data Science.
• Experience of independent research and developing machine-learning methods.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Develop and evaluate novel AI models for real-time bathing-water quality prediction.
• Advance spatio-temporal prediction and uncertainty estimation within interdisciplinary partnerships.
• Publish research findings, present progress, and contribute to grant applications.
