Job summary

Empat is a UK AI startup delivering software for tax and accounting professionals. We seek a Senior PM or Head of Product to own a product end-to-end, report directly to the CEO, and shape the function with minimal hierarchy.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Senior PM or Head of Product in B2B with external customers.
• Long-term ownership of one product with end-to-end responsibility.
• Track record of taking a product from idea to launch with measurable impact.
• Strong AI skills beyond everyday use: prototyping, data analysis, and evaluating AI output.
• Technical depth to explain trade-offs and earn engineers’ respect.
• Comfort with customers and data, able to run workshops and analyze datasets.
• Ability to learn a complex regulated domain quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own the product end-to-end together with the CEO and CTO.
• Own the roadmap, decide what to build with customer evidence.
• Stay close to customers by joining sales, onboarding, and renewal conversations.
• Work daily with engineers from problem to release to feedback.
• Prototype ideas and ship small changes yourself.
• Own AI quality and build pre-release checks the team relies on.
• Take accountability for key retention and revenue KPIs.
• Shape the product’s evolution as the company expands into new markets.
• Drive growth through rapid hypothesis testing and releases.
• Push for more frequent and deeper releases.

The pace here is real: one customer insight turned into a product that drove 25% of all usage within two months. Remote, with one day a month inLondon.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the product end toend together with the CEO and CTO.
• Own the roadmap, deciding what tobuild and what not tobuild, with customer evidence behind every item.
• Stay close tocustomers byjoining sales, onboarding, and renewal conversations, and open new channels for customer insight.
• Work daily with engineers from problem torelease tofeedback.

• Comfort with both customers and data: from running customer workshops todigging into datasets.
• Strong owner mindset and comfort with high autonomy, ambiguity, and little process.
• Ability tolearn acomplex regulated domain quickly.
