Job summary

AVEVA is a global leader in industrial software, recruiting for a senior software engineer to develop AI platforms and cloud-native services on Azure, with secure APIs and SDKs for developers. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams, participate in architectural discussions, and mentor junior engineers.

The role supports hybrid working and involves engaging with global R&D locations to deliver end-to-end AI-powered solutions while upholding rigorous security and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering for platform/cloud-native services, ideally with Microsoft and .NET technologies.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Proficient in securing APIs, authentication/authorization and data privacy practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to analyse complex technical challenges and propose scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple teams to deploy AI models, training and tooling.
• Build scalable Azure-based cloud services with high performance and reliability.
• Develop secure public APIs and SDKs for internal and external developers.
• Work across data pipelines, orchestration, and service APIs end-to-end.
• Embed robust security controls to protect sensitive data and ensure secure access to AI services.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions to drive engineering excellence.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
