Job summary

AVEVA in Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain secure cloud features for AVEVA CONNECT Core Services. Hybrid work arrangement with a strong focus on scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.

The role involves contributing to technical design decisions and delivering high‑quality software in an agile environment. Ideal candidates will have extensive C#/.NET experience, cloud development with Azure, and familiarity with containers/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

Strong design and coding skills with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes.
Experience developing microservices or service-oriented architectures.
Good understanding of REST API design principles.
Experience with cloud development, especially Microsoft Azure.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure, resilient features for AVEVA CONNECT Core Services.
Contribute to technical design and implementation decisions across cloud and service-based architectures.
Build and improve services using modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
Use AI-assisted development tools to support engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery.
Work collaboratively in an agile development team and share knowledge on cloud technologies and practices.
