Job summary

Flint UK Technology Services is seeking Senior AI Native System Engineers to join its mobile networks team. The role focuses on designing AI-enabled, cloud-native systems and leading technical direction across complex software initiatives in the UK.

Strong programming and cloud experience are essential, with a collaborative, delivery-focused mindset. London/Bristol/Birmingham locations are considered, with the position offering flexibility between contract and full-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing complex software systems, distributed systems, data platforms or cloud-native services.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools or coding agents to improve software delivery, testing and design.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, operating systems, networking and APIs.
• Good knowledge of AWS architecture patterns, security, observability, deployment and cost considerations.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, C/C++, Java; Python desirable for data/automation use cases.
• Ability to set technical direction and guide teams through ambiguity.
• Experience embedding secure-by-design, test-first, observable and compliant practices.
• Clear communication with users, engineers, product owners and leaders.
• Curiosity to learn how systems work beneath abstraction layers.
