Rivian Automotive is seeking a Senior ML Infra Engineer to build and optimize AI infrastructure for training and inference of very large foundation models. You will collaborate with software engineers, ML engineers, and researchers to push the limits of state-of-the-art ML for autonomous driving.

The role focuses on designing scalable training systems, accelerating model iterations, and ensuring robust, secure ML workflows across Rivian’s vehicle data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of PyTorch and DL model training.
• Experience with CUDA or Triton for custom ops and kernel optimization.
• Knowledge of model training frameworks and distributed training.
• Expertise in transformer architectures and accelerating training/inference.
• Proven track record of profiling models to improve performance at scale.

Responsabilités

• Design, train, and deploy large deep learning models for data from a fleet of vehicles.
• Improve training infrastructure and deployment pipelines to speed up iteration.
• Provide thorough code reviews enforcing ML engineering standards and security.
