Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) for AI Gateway to join customer-facing teams. You will write production code, design low-latency topologies, and build plugins that deliver secure enterprise AI workloads to production, bridging customer environments with core AI Gateway engine.

Qualifications

• 7+ years writing production code (Python, Go, TypeScript/C++, REST/ gRPC/ WebSockets) and API gateways.
• Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, prompt security, token optimization, and vector DB/RAG architectures.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade code to integrate AI Gateway with microservices and multi-cloud architectures.
• Build custom middleware/plugins for identity-aware policies, prompt security, dynamic routing, and telemetry.
• Develop automated deployment modules (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes) and SDK wrappers.
• Optimize high-throughput, low-latency traffic paths.
• Lead Architectural Design Reviews with customer engineers and CISOs for zero-trust deployments.
