Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff/Senior AI Engineer to transform internal coding models into production-ready coding agents. You’ll handle model training, context engineering, tool use, and end-to-end product integration, not just research.

You’ll ship capabilities used by thousands of developers and help define the technical direction for future work. You will collaborate with product managers, software engineers, ML engineers, and researchers to build robust, scalable AI

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping complex systems to production.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered products or AI systems.
• Experience evaluating model behavior and benchmarking for AI systems.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and drive direction over iterations.

Responsibilities

• Build production-ready coding agents and agentic workflows for real developer tasks inside the company products.
• Turn model capabilities into dependable product behavior via prompting, context engineering, or post-training methods.
• Design and improve the agent loop, including tool use and safeguards.
• Create evaluation suites and quality infrastructure for agent behavior and regression checks.
• Build feedback loops from real usage using logs and signals to improve data and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, ML engineers, and researchers to ship features end to end.
• Help define the technical direction for future work in ambiguous areas.
