Job summary

Flo Health is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in London to join the AI Platform team, delivering LLM-powered features across the app. You will focus on personalized in-app content recommendations, conversational AI insights, and AI-generated mobile notifications, while contributing to Databricks, AWS, and Terraform infrastructure.

The role emphasizes latency reduction, safe outputs, and collaboration with Product, Security, Analytics, and Medical teams. Hybrid work with in-office days is supported.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with hands-on LLM-backed product features.
• Experience with at least one: prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, fine-tuning, or model serving.
• Strong Python and experience with APIs/SDKs wrapping LLM calls, prompt templates, and structured outputs.
• Product sensibility: a track record of shipping user-facing features, with attention to latency, tone, and quality of AI output.
• Comfort picking up new infrastructure tools (Databricks, AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship LLM-powered product features, including AI-generated mobile push notifications and personalized in-app content recommendations.
• Reduce latency and improve UX by streaming, pregeneration, and inference-time tradeoffs.
• Iterate prompts and use health-domain models; ensure outputs are safe and high quality.
• Enable A/B testing for model and prompt changes with evaluation gates.
• Contribute to synthetic Q&A generation and evaluation dataset design.
• Contribute to Databricks, AWS EKS, Terraform, or CI/CD efforts.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Analytics, Medical teams and external partners on pre-release capabilities.
