Job summary

Citigroup Inc. London is seeking a senior AI/Software Engineer to design and deliver production-grade AI software across intelligent document processing, data extraction, translation and workflow automation.

You will own end-to-end solutions in a regulated banking environment, balancing resilience, explainability and auditability with model performance. Collaborate with Product, Risk and Engineering teams to shape technical strategy and roadmaps, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards

Qualifications

• Proven senior software/AI engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Strong Python development and service-oriented architecture experience.
• Hands-on Generative AI/LLMs with model evaluation and prompt engineering.
• CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes/OpenShift experience.
• Ability to work in a regulated banking environment with resilience and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support production-grade AI software and services at scale.
• Own end-to-end technical solutions from problem definition to deployment.
• Develop Generative AI solutions for data extraction, classification, translation and workflow optimization.
• Evaluate AI models, prompts and architectures and productionise the best approaches.
• Lead technical design and architecture of AI products with resilience and explainability.
