Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Enterprise AI Engineer to lead AI initiatives from prototyping to production deployments. You will design, build, and deploy scalable AI-enabled software and drive AI infrastructure improvements across the organization.

You will mentor peers, collaborate with data science and product teams, and apply MLOps/AIOps to ensure secure, high-performance AI systems that deliver real business value.

As a Senior Enterprise AI Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering a roadmap of improvements, focusing on the full lifecycle of AI applications-from initial prototyping to production-grade deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable software solutions, emphasizing AI-enabled applications and infrastructure.
• Lead and participate in technical projects and deployments of AI systems.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to team members on best practices in AI engineering.
• Utilize best practices (e.g., MLOps, AIOps) to enhance products, services, and processes related to AI.
• Optimize existing model serving and data pipelines to meet evolving performance and security requirements.
• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and data science teams.
• Lead functional projects or work streams focused on AI infrastructure and tooling.

Your Profile & Recommended Experience

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB/RDS) or GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, BigQuery).
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, with fluency in another language.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Serverless Framework).
• A passion for automating processes.
• Knowledge of containers (Docker, Container Orchestration like Kubernetes/ECS/GKE).
• A genuine interest in AI/ML concepts and technologies, with a desire to grow into a specialized AI Engineering role.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality work and promoting best practices in software engineering.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
• Stay updated with new technologies in the AI space.

Nice to Have

• Direct experience with advanced AI tools and platforms, such as Amazon Bedrock or Google Vertex AI.
• Familiarity with frameworks for building complex, multi-step generative AI applications, like LangGraph.
• Experience with Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication or coordination patterns in AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot or similar platforms (e.g., Kiro, Cursor).
• Knowledge of or experience with MCP to integrate LLMs with external data sources and tools.
