Senior AI Engineer | £120,000 + Options | Hybrid (London x2 PW) | Agents

SR2 have been engaged with a Series B scale-up to support with their next phase of growth. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who enjoys building production‑grade AI systems, not just experimenting with models. You will work closely with senior technical and research leaders to design, build, test, and improve systems that use LLMs and related technologies in a product used by real customers.

What will you be doing?

• This is a true ownership position. As one of the most senior members in the AI team, you will be owning systems end-to-end with autonomy to make architectural decisions.
• Mentorship and guidance of more junior engineers in the team.
• Building and maintaining production code

What skills do you need?

• Fluent with agentic code (Claude code, Codex etc)
• Thrive in an environment of ambiguity, where you are responsible for scoping out solutions to challenges.
• Experience shipping Agentic/LLM-based systems end-to-end into production.
