James Adams is recruiting a Senior AI Engineer to join a fast-growing UK technology company building AI-powered software used in critical, real-world operations. You will integrate LLMs and broader AI capabilities into production-grade software.

Hybrid role in London with 1 day onsite per week. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable AI solutions, focusing on production readiness, reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience developing AI/ML products, deploying models or AI systems into production.
• Strong understanding of AI architectures, RAG, prompt engineering, fine tuning, evals, and LLM orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy production-grade AI software.
• Apply AI architecture patterns including RAG and LLM orchestration into the product.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship solutions quickly.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of AI features in a high-availability environment.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join the team permanently, integrating LLMs and broader AI capabilities into production grade software.

You'll work as part of a cross functional team, translating complex product requirements into reliable, scalable technical solutions and building AI that works in the real world, not just AI that demos well.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build and deploy production grade AI software
• Apply emerging AI architecture patterns including RAG, agentic workflows, evals, fine tuning and LLM orchestration directly into the product
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ship technical solutions at pace
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of AI powered features in a demanding, high availability production environment
• Contribute to raising AI engineering practices and standards across the wider team

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years professionally developing products involving AI, LLMs or applied machine learning/data science, with proven experience deploying models or AI systems into production
• Strong understanding of AI and ML architectures and patterns including RAG, prompt engineering, fine tuning, evals and LLM orchestration, or equivalent applied ML/data science methods
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript experience
• Comfortable working in a fast paced product and engineering environment
