Job summary
Nationwide is seeking an AI Development Engineer to lead technical innovation across Conversational Analytics and analytical AI products. This senior, individual-contributor role will shape product direction, prototype AI capabilities, and embed safe, scalable solutions across the Society.
You will work in a hybrid model across UK offices (Swindon, London, Glasgow) with internal collaboration and governance at the core. Strong engineering, data, and risk-awareness are essential.
Qualifications
- Proven experience owning, developing, and delivering digital, data, analytics, AI, or technology products.
- Strong experience defining product strategies, roadmaps, and priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, APIs, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Shape technical and product direction for Conversational Analytics.
- Lead POCs for emerging technologies and design production-ready controls.
- Create technical docs and reusable assets.
- Collaborate with governance, risk, security, privacy and architecture teams.
