Job summary

Ideagen is pursuing an ambitious AI data strategy and seeks a Senior AI Data Engineer to design and build data platforms powering AI models. Based remotely with local Nottinghamshire consideration, you’ll turn diverse data into trusted AI-ready assets and collaborate with AI and product teams.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive best practices, and help shape scalable, secure data solutions for intelligent automation across our products.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building, scaling, and supporting production data pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with maintainable solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena.
• Experience operating production systems and improving reliability.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, lineage, security, and auditability.
• Interest or experience in AI/ML, MLOps or LLM tech.
• Proven ability to influence technical decisions and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data pipelines powering AI models and workflows.
• Own reliability, performance, and operational excellence of production data platforms.
• Develop ETL/ELT solutions using Python, SQL, AWS, and cloud-based data tech.

• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, lineage, security, and auditability.


• Experience or strong interest in AI, machine learning, MLOps or large language model technologies.


• Proven ability to influence technical decisions, mentor engineers, and drive engineering best practices.
