Job summary

Ideagen is seeking an Associate AI Data Engineer in the United Kingdom to help build scalable data pipelines powering AI models and intelligent product features.

You will transform large datasets into AI-ready data assets, develop ETL/ELT solutions using Python, SQL, and AWS, and contribute to data governance and quality across platforms. A collaborative team will support your growth in a fast-paced AI environment.

Qualifications

• Building scalable data pipelines that power AI models, machine learning workflows, and intelligent product features.
• Transforming large and complex datasets into trusted, high-quality, AI-ready data assets.
• Developing ETL/ELT solutions using Python, SQL, AWS, and modern data engineering practices.
• Improving data quality, monitoring, governance, and reliability across data platforms.
• Contributing to innovative AI initiatives, including dataset versioning, labelling workflows, and AI-powered automation.
• Collaborating with AI engineers, software engineers, and product teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Exploring new technologies and helping evolve the platforms that support Ideagen's AI strategy.

Skills And Experience

• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or data integration solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimise data workflows.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, or Athena.
• Understanding of data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance principles.
• Passion for solving complex problems using data, technology, and automation.
• Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, MLOps, or large language models would be advantageous.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced AI environment.
