Job summary

NearTech Search is seeking a Senior AI Data Engineer to join our AI-led technology team. You will be hands-on, building data pipelines and infrastructure from the ground up for enterprise clients across financial services and other data-intensive industries.

You should bring 3+ years of data engineering, strong Python and SQL, and experience with GCP, BigQuery and PostgreSQL. Familiarity with AI/LLM, RAG and embeddings is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI/LLM and productionising AI solutions.

We’re looking for a Senior AI Data Engineer who is genuinely hands-on and enjoys building things from the ground up.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years' Data Engineering experience
• Strong Python & SQL
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery and PostgreSQL
• Experience with Terraform / cloud infrastructure is a plus
• Strong understanding of data quality, monitoring and pipeline troubleshooting
• Genuine commercial AI/LLM experience - ideally working with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, document extraction or productionising AI solutions
• Experience working in FinTech, Financial Services or another data-intensive environment is highly desirable
