Job summary

Vertus Partners is seeking an experienced AI/data engineer to help with the greenfield design and build of the next generation data foundations that power search, analytics and AI-driven applications across the business.

This is a hands-on role focused on designing robust data pipelines, improving data accessibility and creating scalable solutions that enable better use of information across a complex technology environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL with data engineering experience.
• Hands-on with production-grade data pipelines and platforms.
• Knowledge of GCP and cloud-based data architectures.
• Exposure to search, data discovery, or IR solutions.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata and quality.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration.
• Preference for enterprise knowledge base experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Building and maintaining data pipelines that ingest and process information from multiple sources.
• Developing scalable platforms to support analytics, search and emerging AI use cases.
• Designing data structures that improve the quality, accessibility and usability of enterprise information.
• Supporting search and discovery capabilities through effective indexing and data management practices.
• Implementing governance, lineage and quality controls across critical datasets.
• Working closely with engineering teams, architects and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.

What You Bring

• Strong experience developing data engineering solutions using Python and SQL.
• Experience building and supporting production-grade data pipelines.
• Understanding of GCP, cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Exposure to search technologies, information retrieval or data discovery solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata and data quality principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
