Job summary

RELX, a leading information and analytics company, seeks a Senior Product Manager to define and deliver AI-access strategies for ScienceDirect content. You will work across product, technology, legal, and commercial teams to shape access, governance, and monetization in an evolving AI ecosystem.

You will translate strategy into roadmaps, guide delivery with engineering, lead pilots, and influence entitlement models while staying close to customer needs and market trends.

Qualifications

• Proven digital product management with ability to balance customer needs, technology, and governance.
• Use data and experiments to drive decision making.
• Experience owning API, data, or developer-facing products and shipping with engineering.
• Ability to translate between technical and commercial audiences.
• Familiarity with licensing, entitlement, packaging, or pricing is an advantage.
• Understanding of how AI applications consume content (e.g., retrieval-augmented generation, agents).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategy for machine and AI access to Elsevier’s full content, recommending use cases and building alignment.
• Translate the strategy into a product roadmap and lead delivery with engineering, selecting APIs/connectors.
• Lead customer discovery and controlled pilots to validate machine-to-machine use cases and value exchange.
• Shape entitlement model and access tiers including identity, metering, versioning, and revocation of access.
• Contribute to measuring and reporting machine usage value for customers.
• Monitor competitive landscape across open infrastructure, gateway providers, and AI platforms to inform decisions.
