Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior support post within the surgery rehabilitation team. You will help patients recovering from surgery regain mobility, participate in therapy and exercise programmes, and plan discharge with falls prevention in mind.

Working full-time on a rotating rota including weekends and bank holidays, you will collaborate with physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams across acute and community settings to support safe, timely

Qualifications

• Senior support role within the surgery rehabilitation team.
• Provides therapy and exercise programmes to help mobility and independence.
• Involves planning discharge and falls prevention as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions, treatments and exercise programmes to patients.
• Identify and support physical limitations and functional problems arising from a patient’s disability.
• Support the therapy team with early routine assessments and rehabilitation.
• Liaise with patients and family or carers on discharge planning and falls prevention.
• Build strong links with multidisciplinary teams in acute and community settings.
• Work across all areas of the service, including a 7-day rota with weekends and bank holidays.
• Work flexibly in other areas when required.
