Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Systems Design Integrator to lead integration of complex gas turbine engine systems within Bristol-based, 12-month contract roles. You will translate requirements into integrated technical solutions and act as focal point across engineering disciplines, ensuring engine-level performance and design integrity.

The role requires strong systems engineering, lifecycle thinking, and impact analysis, with collaboration across Lifecycle, Stress, Product Development and Design

Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Gas Turbine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in aerospace, gas turbine, propulsion, or highly regulated engineering environments.
• Strong systems engineering mindset for whole-product interactions.
• Understanding of degradation, failure mechanisms and lifecycle engineering.
• Strong impact analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Excellent technical communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to operate at a strategic level with cross-system dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate requirements, ensuring successful delivery and integration at complete engine and system level.
• Work with Lifecycle Engineering, Stress Engineering, Product Development, Design Integration and Modification teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Perform impact assessments and evaluate effects of design changes on engine performance, safety and lifecycle.
• Assess technical information and analyses to support Chief Engineers and senior stakeholders.
• Support design integration and modification activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams, balancing requirements and solving challenges.
• Provide technical leadership and clear communication to align specialist disciplines.
• Contribute to product-level approvals, governance and technical decision-making.
