Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Birmingham to lead quality teams in aerospace manufacturing, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer specifications. You will drive right-first-time manufacturing and CAPA activities, partnering with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain.

The role requires at least 5 years leading quality teams in aerospace, strong RCA and continuous improvement experience, and a Lead Auditor qualification or QBE.

Qualifications

• Experience leading quality teams in aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 FAI processes.
• Proven track record with CAPA, MRB, and non-conformance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians to foster a right-first-time manufacturing culture.
• Ensure products meet AS9100, customer specifications and regulatory requirements; monitor documentation and records.
• Investigate internal, supplier and customer non-conformances; drive RCA and CAPA actions.
• Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce COPQ, scrap and rework.
• Lead internal audits and support customer/regulatory/audit activities.
