Job summary

Moog Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Development Process Assurance Engineer to provide independent quality assurance oversight of software, electronics hardware and test software, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and company development standards.

You will tailor assurance tools, evaluate lifecycle activities, identify nonconformances and risks, and drive timely corrective actions in partnership with engineering, program management and quality leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, systems engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience supporting aerospace product development, development assurance, quality assurance, certification, or regulatory compliance activities.
• Experience conducting audits, assessments or compliance reviews against established engineering processes and standards.
• Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes including requirements management, systems engineering, verification & validation, configuration management, problem reporting and change control.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent assessments, audits and reviews of engineering development activities to verify compliance with company processes and customer requirements.
• Tailor assurance tools and methodologies to specific development programs while maintaining consistency with Development Process Assurance requirements.
• Evaluate lifecycle activities including requirements management, systems engineering, design, implementation, verification, validation, configuration management, problem reporting and change control processes.
• Identify process nonconformances, gaps and improvement opportunities; assess risks; drive timely corrective action closure with stakeholders.
• Monitor project quality and process performance metrics; report status, risks and effectiveness to leadership.
• Advise engineering teams and management on development assurance expectations, regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Lead awareness and training on Development Process Assurance methodologies and requirements.
• Support regulatory, customer and internal audits as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes and reduce waste through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel to other Moog locations as required.
