Job summary

Eaton's Wimborne facility in Dorset is seeking a Lead Engineer for the Electrical Test Design team to develop and validate automated test solutions for aerospace applications.

Lead from concept through to implementation, ensuring safety, reuse, maintainability and configuration management, while mentoring engineers and partnering with other Eaton sites.

This role requires delivering robust test capabilities for airframes and systems and applying advanced aerospace engineering principles.

Qualifications

• Engineering or science degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years in engineering, aerospace, or automated test environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for complex electrical test design activities.
• Lead electrical test solutions from concept to operational use.
• Define the technical approach for assigned ATE projects.
• Review and approve technical documentation for requirements and test procedures.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers.
