Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has two locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg, Germany, considered one of the most modern in Europe, and the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil, Switzerland, known for innovative technologies and racing passion. The Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis development and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG transforms these into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position is based at Sauber in Hinwil, Switzerland.

Your mission

• Work within a development group
• Participate in all aspects of aerodynamic development, including innovative concept definition, testing, and analysis of simulations
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, CFD engineers, and model designers to enhance race car performance
• Develop innovative tools, methods, and processes
• Propose and implement new methods to improve efficiency in aerodynamic design, testing, and analysis
• Mentor less experienced aerodynamicists to develop their skills

Your profile

• Experience and a track record as a (senior) aerodynamicist in Formula 1
• Educational background in aerodynamics or fluid mechanics, with an engineering degree
• Proficient in CFD and 3D CAD software (preferably CATIA V5/V6/3Dx)
• Strong understanding of CFD, wind tunnel testing, and experience running wind tunnel programs
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to meet performance targets within deadlines
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, creative, result-oriented, and able to work independently, possibly extra hours
• Team player with decision-making initiative
• Capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision
• Willing to learn and share knowledge
• Proficiency in English or German, with willingness to learn the other language
