Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has two locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany), one of the most modern in Europe, and Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for innovative technologies and racing passion.
The Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG will turn these into a factory team — and you can be part of it.

The position is based at Sauber in Hinwil, Switzerland.

Your mission

• Work within a development group
• Involve in all aspects of aerodynamic development, including concept definition, testing, and analysis of simulations
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, CFD engineers, and model designers to enhance race car performance
• Develop innovative tools, methods, and processes
• Suggest and implement improvements for aerodynamic idea generation, design, testing, and reporting
• Mentor less experienced aerodynamicists

Your profile

• Experience as a senior aerodynamicist in Formula 1
• A degree in engineering with a focus on aerodynamics or fluid mechanics
• Proficiency in CFD and 3D CAD software (preferably CATIA V5/V6/3Dx)
• Experience with wind tunnel testing programs
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to meet performance targets under strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, creative, result-oriented, and capable of working independently
• Willing to work extra hours if needed
• Team player with decision-making initiative
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Openness to learning and sharing knowledge
• Proficiency in English or German and willingness to learn the other language
