Job summary

Appian is seeking a Senior Advisory Solutions Consultant to lead the technical aspects of sales cycles in the UK and Ireland. You will demonstrate Appian’s platform, deliver solutions, and communicate business value to executives and stakeholders.

You will collaborate with Account Executives, respond to RFPs, build proof-of-concept apps, and drive the opportunity from discovery to closing, representing Appian at events and maintaining relationships with client technical staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer for enterprise software.
• Hands-on technical background (Software Engineer or Technical Consultant).
• Strong partner mindset with the sales team, sharing equal responsibility for account planning and revenue targets.
• Ability to answer deep functional questions and discuss production environments, APIs, application servers, and databases.
• Experience working with large accounts using a value-selling approach.

Responsibilities

• Work with Account Executives to meet sales goals across large accounts in the UK and Ireland (non FSI and Public Sector).
• Manage all technical aspects of a sales cycle, from initial meetings to final presentations.
• Collaborate with the AE to complete comprehensive discovery and fully understand the client’s business needs.
• Write and organize technical responses for RFPs and formal proposals.
• Build and present proof‑of‑concept applications that solve specific customer problems.
• Explain technical details and business benefits to executives and stakeholders.
• Represent Appian at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
• Build long‑term relationships with technical staff at target accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to obtain resources or information needed to close a deal.
