Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related discipline.
• Proven ability to deliver projects in engineering, aerospace, safety-critical, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage project plans, schedules and milestones using earned value metrics.
• Monitor plans to ensure milestone adherence and on-time delivery of products.
• Develop and monitor work packages for internal suppliers to support technical and schedule alignment.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer relationships across projects.
• Ensure projects meet cost, quality and time targets.
• Manage requirements validation and allocation.
• Lead design reviews per procedures and coordinate with teams.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and related mitigation plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Create project plans, schedules, and determine milestones to customer expectations using earned value metrics
• Monitor and maintain project plans, ensure focus is maintained to milestone adherence to ensure products are delivered on time
• Create and monitor the progress of work packages for internal suppliers to support technical and schedule adherence.
• Build internal and external customer relationships throughout projects to ensure completion
• Ensuring that projects run within cost, quality, and time metrics
• Management of requirements, including requirements validation and the appropriate allocation of requirements
• Co-ordinate and Lead Design Reviews in accordance with HAY procedures
• Manage project risks and mitigation plans.

Key requirements and skills

• HND/HNC/Degree in mechanical engineering/aerospace
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• A minimum of three years’ project management experience in an engineering, aerospace, safety-critical, or similarly regulated environment, with demonstrable delivery experience across the full product lifecycle from conception to commissioning
• Previous experience of using Microsoft Project, or a similar project forecasting system
• A strong understanding and experience of working with suppliers and integrated supply chains and how and where they fit in the project lifecycle
