Job summary
Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior clinical post within the Delivery Group to lead Advanced Practice across community hospitals. The role includes governance, education and supervision for Advanced Practitioners and trainee APs, while maintaining a regular inpatient caseload in frailty-focused services.
The post requires independent non-medical prescribing, a Masters level leadership qualification, and a track record of service improvement and workforce
Qualifications
- Independent non-medical prescribing is required.
- Experience as educational supervisor or equivalent.
- Masters-level leadership qualification or senior leadership experience.
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
- Post-Masters CPD development.
Responsibilities
- Lead governance, education and development arrangements for Advanced Practice.
- Provide clinical and educational supervision, mentorship, coaching for APs.
- Support APs to develop across four pillars of Advanced Practice.
- Maintain advanced clinical practice within inpatient frailty services.
- Provide expert clinical leadership to the MDT.
- Strengthen Advanced Practice workforce across community hospitals.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, retention and development.
- Lead quality improvement, governance, audit, research and evidence-based practice.
