Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join the Adolescent Service covering Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire and East Cambridgeshire. You will work with Missing and Exploitation Team and Youth Justice Service to safeguard vulnerable youths.

Location Noble House, Ely, with flexibility to base in Huntingdon. The role includes assessing and managing Child in Need and Child Protection cases, direct work with young people and families, multi-agency

Formación

• Recognised Social Work qualification and SWE registration
• Substantial experience in statutory children's social work
• Strong knowledge of Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care practice
• Ability to manage complex safeguarding concerns and risk

Responsabilidades

• Undertaking Child and Family Assessments
• Managing Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care cases
• Direct work with young people and their families
• Visiting children in their homes and communities
• Attending multi-agency meetings and safeguarding plan contributions
• Maintaining high-quality case recording and assessments
• Supporting the Team Manager in developing practice
• Mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues
• Deputising for the Team Manager when required
• Contributing to Families First reforms implementation
