Job summary

Lloyd's is seeking a Senior Actuary (Capital Oversight) for its London-based team. You will provide independent challenge and oversight of syndicate capital, influencing decisions that support a robust and well-capitalised market.

You’ll lead capital reviews, oversee model changes, and present findings to senior governance forums, working with managing agents and actuarial teams while coaching colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with significant capital modelling experience.
• Strong non-life insurance expertise.
• Knowledge of actuarial techniques and capital regulation.
• Experience reviewing and challenging complex analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead work and support others.
• Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead reviews across risk areas: premium, reserve, market, credit and operational risk.
• Oversee capital model assumptions, methodology and validation.
• Conduct annual capital reviews and major model changes.
• Perform governance reviews and IMAP assessments.
• Provide independent challenge and present recommendations to senior governance forums.
• Lead projects and coach colleagues in capital oversight.
