The Opportunity
You will lead and support a range of strategic transformation initiatives including:
- Transforming actuarial reporting processes using modern cloud-based and digital capabilities to improve efficiency, quality, and insight.
- Enhancing capital modelling frameworks and methodologies to strengthen risk measurement and support faster decision-making.
- Supporting the integration of actuarial insights into investment, pricing, and strategic business processes.
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams across actuarial, technology, finance, and risk functions.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead actuarial transformation programmes from design through to implementation.
- Deliver commercially focused solutions that improve operational performance and business outcomes.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development support to junior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, technology, risk, and strategy.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across actuarial processes and systems.
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified Actuary or qualified by experience
- Strong experience within the UK life insurance market
- Proven track record leading transformation or change programmes within actuarial or financial services settings.
- Strong understanding of commercial drivers and the ability to deliver measurable business benefits
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing and mentoring teams.
- Knowledge of emerging actuarial and technology trends within the insurance sector.
- Experience working with cloud technologies, automation, or modern actuarial systems.
