Job summary

The Emerald Group in London is seeking an Actuarial Reporting Manager to lead the actuarial reporting and transformation agenda, with a hybrid schedule of 2 days a week in London and 1 day in Dorking. You will oversee Solvency II reporting, engage with internal stakeholders, and translate complex financial data into clear business narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Candidates from Life, GI, or Pensions welcome; strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary or equivalent with strong actuarial reporting background.
• Experience with Solvency II balance sheets and regulatory submissions.
• Strong communication translating financial data for diverse audiences.

Job description

The Company is looking for an Actuarial Reporting Manager to join their team and play a key role in shaping their actuarial reporting and transformation agenda. This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in London and 1 day per week in Dorking Office.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Lead and manage actuarial reporting activities, including Solvency II balance sheet, P&L results, and regulatory submissions
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear, concise financial insights and technical guidance
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts in a clear and engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A qualified actuary with strong experience (they are open to candidates from all backgrounds, Life, GI, Pensions etc.)
• Experience with actuarial systems (e.g. RAFM, Unify) is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional working
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expert-level Excel proficiency
