Job description

They are currently looking for a part qualified actuary to support the newly established Reinsurance Operations Team.

• Location: London
• Type: Permanent

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Produce, assist with or review the production and interpretation of financial analysis within their line of business or function.
• Supporting the production of the reinsurance accounts.
• Supporting the delivery of regular reinsurance deliverables to reinsurers.
• Embedding of new reinsurance treaties into the reporting framework.
• Produce, or assist in the production, of regular departmental, business or regulatory reports taking into account commercial and statutory considerations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field (not essential).
• Actively studying for actuarial exams, usually being over half-way through their qualification.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills demonstrating efficient use of spreadsheets and basic data manipulation skills.
• Developing knowledge and understanding of different actuarial disciplines including via student rotation.
• Developing knowledge of a variety of statistical methods, models and controls, and their commercial application/implication.
