Job Description:

Miryco Consultants is collaborating with an elite management consultancy to headhunt top actuarial talent for their growing team in London.

They are an entrepreneurial business, open to speaking with talent at various levels, and continue to attract some of the highest-performing consultants in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent reserve reviews, process transformation, automation initiatives, methodology reviews, and customizable reserve implementations.
• Perform M&A due diligence, including management support, strategy, model building, and developing projected UK statutory distributable earnings and future new business value.
• Support IFRS 17 and Solvency II compliance, including independent expert roles.
• Provide risk management support, including validation, risk appetite reviews, and oversight, with emerging focus on climate risk.
• Lead actuarial model conversions and optimization in Reserving, Pricing, and Capital areas.
• Engage in client and industry presentations, surveys, case studies, and business development activities, including managing proposals, tenders, and stakeholder relations.
• Develop and maintain intellectual capital, incorporating the latest data science techniques and advanced methodologies from quantitative finance.

Desired Skills (not all essential):

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant Property & Casualty actuarial experience.
• Part or fully qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent).
• Knowledge of finance and risk management topics, including Solvency II internal models, ORSA, and IFRS17.
• SAO Signing certificate or familiarity with the SAO year-end process.
• Lloyd’s of London Capital Requirements knowledge.
• Strong modeling skills with experience in coding languages such as R or Python preferred.
