Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset seeks a Band 8a ACP to lead the Trauma Assessment Coordination Team across Poole and Bournemouth hospitals on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will provide senior clinical leadership, drive safety and patient-centred care, and oversee quality, governance and workforce across Trauma and Orthopaedics.

The role requires a registered healthcare professional with senior Trauma and Orthopaedics experience, strong communication, and capacity to work flexibly across both

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with senior clinical experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
• Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice and Advanced Clinical Assessment qualification.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Trauma Assessment Coordination Team across Poole and Bournemouth hospitals.
• Provide senior clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and ensure safe, person-centred urgent care.
• Oversee governance, quality, workforce, performance and service improvement across Trauma and Orthopaedics within UHD.
• Collaborate with Senior Matron, medical leads, ward leads and managers to optimise capacity and pathways.
