Job summary

RWDI is seeking an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant to join our Noise/Acoustics/Vibration team in London. The role demands strong technical acumen, project leadership and client-facing delivery on environmental and building acoustics projects.

You will conduct measurements, perform modelling with SoundPLAN, CadnaA and NoiseMap, and develop practical mitigation strategies while guiding junior staff and maintaining high quality reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in acoustics or related field with focus on noise/vibration.
• 6–10 years of relevant environmental/building acoustics experience.
• Experience in acoustic design and environmental noise assessment.
• Knowledge of noise guidelines and modelling techniques.
• Proficient with SoundPLAN, CadnaA, NoiseMap and building acoustics software.
• Strong client relations and project management abilities.
• UK driving license and willingness to travel within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Outline a scope of work for new projects.
• Conduct measurements for environmental and on-site noise and vibration.
• Apply building and architectural acoustics knowledge to assessments.
• Perform modelling using industry standard software.
• Design effective noise and vibration mitigation measures.
• Lead small teams on larger projects.
• Develop client relationships and manage expectations.
• Write clear technical reports for projects of varying scale.
• Provide guidance on technical problems and QC procedures.
