Job summary

Lucion Delta-Simons Ltd is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join our multidisciplinary environmental consultancy team in the UK. You will balance technical excellence with client-facing advisory work to deliver credible noise and vibration assessments.

Responsibilities include managing projects, liaising with stakeholders, and mentoring junior staff while upholding UK guidance and standards. A degree in acoustics or related field and MIOA status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA) or working towards Chartered status.
• Experience in environmental and/or building acoustics consultancy.
• Familiar with UK guidance and standards (BS 4142, BS 8233, ProPG).
• Proficient using acoustic modelling software such as CadnaA or SoundPLAN.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver environmental noise and vibration assessments.
• Undertake building acoustics assessments and advise on design solutions.
• Conduct noise monitoring surveys and analyse acoustic data.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports aligned with UK standards.
• Undertake acoustic modelling using industry-standard software.
• Support planning applications with detailed noise and vibration assessments.
• Liaise with clients, architects, planners, and project stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, resources, and programme delivery.
• Mentor junior consultants and graduates.
• Contribute to business development and client relationships.
