Job summary

WKC Group is seeking a full-time Senior Acoustic Consultant to join our UK acoustics team. You will lead noise impact assessments from scope through surveys, modelling and reporting, with client liaison and regulatory compliance throughout.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong SoundPLAN skills, and a solid understanding of environmental noise regulations. IoA membership is desirable and opportunities exist to work on international projects.

Qualifications

• BSc in a scientific, engineering or acoustics field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in environmental acoustics or noise consultancy.
• Advanced proficiency in SoundPLAN for modelling and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of BS 4142, BS 5228, CRTN, ISO 9613 and related standards.
• IoA membership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental noise and acoustics projects from scope to final report.
• Oversee noise surveys and assessments and liaise with clients.
• Develop and review noise models using SoundPLAN.
• Prepare high-quality proposals, fee estimates and reports.
• Mentor junior team members and support BD efforts.
• Manage budgets, programmes and deliverables across projects.
• Collaborate across UK and international offices on multidisciplinary work.
