Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Glasgow seeks an experienced Associate / Associate Director to lead our acoustics presence in Scotland. You will head technically complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across environmental and sustainability teams to deliver client-focused solutions.

You’ll contribute to growth across sectors, promote value-based selling, and shape an inclusive, supportive team culture while delivering landmark projects.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification, and corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA / FIOA).
• Demonstrable experience in acoustics consultancy, with a thorough understanding of environmental and/or buildings acoustics and be capable of technically reviewing reports and proposals prepared by others.
• Excellent technical, project management, presentation, report writing, commercial, health and safety, personal organisation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate a strong client care ethos, acting as a trusted adviser with a commercial mindset focused on work‑winning, repeat business and sustainable growth across key clients and markets.
• An enthusiastic, energetic outlook and willingness to learn, with a social and team spirited attitude

Responsibilities

• Lead flagship and technically complex acoustics projects across sectors, including national significance initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff, contribute to team’s technical advancements and client-centric delivery.
• Collaborate with in-house environmental and sustainability specialists and other engineering disciplines.
• Promote a dynamic, collaborative approach and focus on selling value, not just time.
