Job description

My client is a UK leading manufacturer and supplier of noise control products to the industrial and construction sector. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking for an experienced acoustician to join their team based near Reading.

Qualifications:

1. Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration
2. Consultancy or research experience in the field of Industrial or Building Acoustics
3. Experience of consultancy in relation to building services
4. Technically competent and IT proficient
5. Highly motivated
6. Commercially aware and team player
7. Good communication and client liaison skills
8. Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package
9. Familiarity in using noise monitoring equipment
10. The ability to produce technically accurate reports
11. Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
12. Full driving license

Duties:

1. Carry out a range of acoustic surveys
2. Advise on internal fabric construction to achieve the overall design criteria
3. Advise on all aspects of room design
4. Advice on legislation
5. Full project management through to completion
6. Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation
7. Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
8. Writing high quality reports
9. Façade design to control external noise intrusion
10. Industrial and commercial noise control
11. Sound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment
12. Aid the sales and engineering of the business and material supply solutions
13. Support, manage and design hardware solutions including areas of contracting and account management

Projects:

Delivering a number of exciting and substantial projects particularly within the divisions of construction, retail and hospitality in addition to transportation, construction, manufacturing, and retail.
