Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to lead and grow the Acoustics, Noise and Vibration department across UK projects.

The role requires proven consultancy experience on building and engineering projects, with strong project management and the ability to develop new work streams. You will be involved in advising architects and engineers, preparing commercial proposals, and managing acoustic input to major projects while travel across the UK (and occasional overseas)

Qualifications

• Degree in acoustics, physics, mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics.
• Chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and manage the acoustic input to building and engineering projects.
• Attend design team meetings and advise architects and engineers on acoustics, noise and vibration.
• Prepare commercial proposals and project manage the acoustic input to projects.
• Assist with business development activities and client relationship management.
• Resolve complex acoustical engineering issues ensuring compliance with statutory bodies.
• Supervise and co-ordinate the work of others.
• Manage project teams to ensure deliverables are produced on time.
• Financial forecasting and control of projects to ensure budgets are respected.
• Contribute to group expansion and develop and maintain business through networking and presentations.
