Job summary

Top 20 accountancy firm in Reading seeks an Accounts Senior Manager to lead a small portfolio of complex client accounts and oversee tax returns. You will manage relationships with clients, directors, and staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of quality.

You will review files for regulatory compliance, mentor the team, and contribute to business growth by improving profitability and leveraging technology.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA or QBE required (mandatory).
• 3+ years PQE in a practice setting preferred.
• CTA or ATT qualifications would be advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small portfolio of complex client accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, directors, and staff.
• Review team files to ensure regulatory compliance and address issues.
• Support ad-hoc technical reviews including consolidated accounts and VAT matters.
• Assist with business and personal tax planning where appropriate.
• Provide industry-leading insights to expand the client base and improve profitability.
• Drive efficiency and profitability by leveraging technology and best practices.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team and oversee bookkeeping at supervisory level.
