Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Accounts Senior in Tonbridge to deliver high-quality accounting services for a professional services client. The role focuses on financial statements, tax compliance, and client support.

You will review junior staff, ensure VAT and MTD tasks are completed on time, and stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations, contributing to internal process improvements.

Qualifications

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and accounts for clients in line with regulations.
• Support clients with tax compliance and planning tasks.
• Manage client relationships and provide expert advice when needed.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure accurate VAT returns and submissions are completed on time.
• Support with MTD processes.
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting legislation and practices.
• Contribute to the development of internal processes and team efficiency.
