Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Accounts Senior to deliver accounting and financial services for a professional services client based in Chatham. The role focuses on managing client portfolios, accounts prep, and tax computations within a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting/finance degree with ACCA/ACA qualifications, demonstrates leadership, and has strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. Hybrid working and clear career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the professional services industry.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Controlling a portfolio of clients comprising individuals and owner managed businesses
• Preparation of accounts for companies, partnerships, LLPs and sole traders
• Preparation of corporation tax returns and computations
• Preparation of partnership tax returns and adjusted profit computations
• Preparation of personal tax returns and computationsReview of VAT returns
• Use of online accounting packages
• Ensure the implementation of all relevant client work ensuring effective team workflow
• Arrange & lead accounts planning meetings so as to maximise implementation of immediate resources
• Ensure completion of processing for clients in other managers/senior manager/director portfolios
